BlockBeats News, July 22nd - SoftBank Group announced on Wednesday that it will begin operating a new information platform called GaranAI, which will collect article data from news agencies and publishers and process it into a format usable by generative artificial intelligence. Content creators, including Nikkei, The Mainichi, Kyodo News, and some local newspapers, will provide content to GaranAI and receive corresponding rewards.
SoftBank will convert the content into a data format that is difficult to restore to its original form, further process it into a more AI-friendly format, and then sell it to AI developers to help improve the accuracy of AI responses to user queries.
SoftBank released a trial version of the platform on Wednesday and started accepting applications from AI developers. The operator plans to continue improving the platform over the next six months and aims to launch the official version in January next year or later. The company also plans to expand the platform's scope to be able to receive copyrighted content from a wider range of fields. (Golden Finance)
