BlockBeats News, May 5th - Senior security officials from over a dozen U.S. states urged artificial intelligence companies to include these states in their advanced model testing, citing that developers currently tend to collaborate more with Washington and large tech companies.
In a letter sent on Tuesday to OpenAI, Anthropic, as well as the CEOs of Microsoft and Google, a group of state chief information security officers, homeland security advisors, and technology officials stated that states are still being excluded from early access programs.
The letter stated: "While we appreciate the launch of new cybersecurity initiatives, we are deeply concerned about the current practice of prioritizing collaboration with federal partners and large tech companies, essentially excluding collaboration with state and local entities responsible for providing and safeguarding many critical national services."
