BlockBeats News, May 26th. SlowMist founder, Cao Yin, posted on social media to provide an analysis of the Squid security incident. He mentioned that a sampling showed that the related Safe wallets were all single-signer with different owners. The issue did not lie in the private key but in the vulnerable module (SquidRouterModule) used by these Safe addresses. Attackers could forge messages, easily bypass the related verification, and proceed with subsequent exchange operations to transfer funds from the target Safe wallet. In addition, Cao Yin also disclosed information about the attacker's profit deposit address.
