ETF Redemptions and Gulf Flare-Ups Retest Crypto’s Institutional Bid

CoinEx News: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded 13 straight sessions of outflows, with about $4.37 billion withdrawn since mid-May, while Ether ETFs lost $52.94 million on June 3, according to SoSoValue. The selloff pushed Bitcoin briefly below $62,000 and triggered more than $1.5 billion in leveraged liquidations as U.S.-Iran talks moved toward a weekend decision window.

The stress now sits at the intersection of macro risk and institutional absorption. Gulf flare-ups around Kuwait and the Strait of Hormuz keep the oil-risk premium alive, while Strategy’s 32 BTC sale and Bitmine’s estimated $8.9 billion ETH treasury loss show balance-sheet crypto demand is no longer a one-way support layer.
