This framework can batch generate rare clinical edge cases, such as guidewires getting stuck in calcified vessel walls, and has reduced the training time from 5 hours to less than 2 minutes using 8192 parallel environments. This addresses the pain point of extremely scarce real clinical data for surgical robots. Early adopters include CMR Surgical, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices, and Medtronic. The open-source nature of this framework helps demonstrate system behavior logic to regulatory bodies and establish a chain of approval evidence. However, currently, no strategies trained on this framework have been deployed in actual clinical settings.
