BlockBeats News, March 30, the privacy blockchain network Midnight, supported by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, officially launched its mainnet, aiming to provide end-to-end programmable privacy.

The core architecture of the network includes a hybrid ledger structure, client-side zero-knowledge proofs, privacy and non-privacy assets (Shielded & Unshielded Assets), and selective disclosure capabilities. Midnight adopts a dual-token economic model, with NIGHT as the governance and utility token used to generate network resources DUST; DUST is used to pay transaction fees, following a similar "battery" recharge model. Additionally, the network uses the TypeScript-based development language Compact, designed to lower the barrier of entry for zero-knowledge proof technology.

Currently, the network has entered the initial stage, with partners such as Google Cloud, MoneyGram, Worldpay, Bullish, Pairpoint (a Vodafone company), eToro, AlphaTON Capital, Blockdaemon, and Shielded Technologies running as federated nodes, and will gradually transition to a decentralized stage.
