CoinEx News: Venezuela’s acting President Delcy Rodríguez told reporters Monday that Venezuela has no plans to become the 51st U.S. state, after President Donald Trump said he was “seriously considering” the idea. Rodríguez said Venezuela would defend its sovereignty and independence, while a White House spokesperson declined to comment on Trump’s plans and said the president is known for not accepting the status quo. Trump has also repeatedly floated a similar 51st-state idea for Canada.
