Durov Says Reliance Used BGP Hijacking to Disrupt Telegram Access

CoinEx News: On June 17, 2026, Telegram founder Pavel Durov said Indian telecom Reliance disrupted Telegram access for users outside India through BGP hijacking, a routing method that can send internet traffic to the wrong network path. Durov said the issue involved Reliance’s AS18101 network and later updated that the routing had stopped after public attention.
