Sources familiar with the matter revealed on Thursday that in ongoing remediation discussions, Anthropic has committed to improving communication with the Trump administration and more swiftly addressing any security issues in the future.

The sources added that negotiations between Anthropic and Trump administration officials have been progressing well, although there is currently no exact timetable for a definitive resolution. Another source indicated that as of Thursday, Anthropic co-founder and Chief Computing Officer Tom Brown and Head of Public Policy Sarah Heck are leading the negotiations with Trump administration officials. Representatives from Anthropic and the Commerce Department did not respond to requests for comment.
