비트코인 보유 나스닥 상장사 엠페리 디지털(EMPD)이 부채 상환 등을 위해 1,400 BTC를 매각했다고 우블록체인이 전했다. 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC) 공시에 따르면 엠페리 디지털은 지난 5월 이후 1,400 BTC를 평균 62,200달러에 매각, 약 8,710만 달러를 확보했다. 자금은 부채 상환, 앞서 발표된 부동산 매입 및 법률 비용 충당에 사용될 방침이다. 한편 엠페리 디지털은 최근 인공지능(AI) 인프라 분야로 사업 전략을 전환했다.
