BlockBeats News, July 20th - Startup company Skyfall AI, founded by former Microsoft AI team members, announced that it will test the feasibility of a fully AI-operated company by acquiring a small B2B SaaS or e-commerce business, aiming to have AI take on a CEO-like role.

Skyfall plans to invest up to $1 million to acquire a real company, allowing the AI system to handle core business functions such as pricing, marketing, customer support, finance, and operations with reduced human intervention. The company's goal is to double the acquired company's revenue while publicly documenting the experiment process.

Skyfall co-founder and CEO Sam Pasupalak stated that the industry is currently focused on AI replacing individual jobs, but a true autonomous enterprise requires AI to have end-to-end company management capabilities. He believes that only by allowing AI to operate in a real business environment can the feasibility of an "autonomous enterprise" be validated.

The company believes that current Large Language Models (LLMs) have limitations in complex business environments. Although they can handle existing knowledge and fixed tasks, they lack the ability for continuous learning when faced with competition changes, shifts in consumer behavior, and market dynamics.

To address this, Skyfall has proposed the concept of "Enterprise World Models," aiming to build an AI system that can understand the logic of business operations, predict the impact of decisions, and engage in long-term planning.

Skyfall was created by the founding team of Maluuba. Maluuba was acquired by Microsoft for about $160 million in 2017 and became a key part of Microsoft's Canadian AI research team.

Currently, AI giants including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google are all driving towards AI employees and enterprise automation. However, Skyfall believes that the future focus of competition is not just AI-assisted employees, but building companies that can autonomously operate.

The company stated that AI is not meant to completely replace human leaders but rather aims to reduce daily operational burdens, allowing humans to focus more on strategy, oversight, and accountability. This experiment will test whether AI can efficiently manage complex organizations in a real business environment.
