Fed Holds Rates Steady, Stocks Fall: Bitcoin Defends $64,000 on ETF Inflows
  • BTC0%

CoinEx News: On July 29 the Federal Reserve held its key rate steady at 3.50%-3.75% in a 9-3 vote, with three regional presidents preferring a quarter-point hike. US stocks fell sharply that day: the S&P 500 dropped 1.52% to 7,316, the Nasdaq fell 1.74%, and the Dow lost 2.19%. Bitcoin stayed near $64,000 into July 30, while US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a $32.1 million net inflow on July 29 after several days of outflows.

The price hold and fresh ETF inflow show Bitcoin absorbing the Fed decision and equity weakness better than many risk assets so far. Memory and AI-storage stocks remain under heavy pressure after 30%-50% declines from June highs; any further cascade into the broader US market could still transmit stress to crypto. The $62,000-$64,000 area is now the near-term test: holding it would show buyers absorbing tighter-rate expectations and cross-market pressure, while a break below $62,000 would weaken that resilience.
