BlockBeats News, June 17th, the U.S. government on Wednesday announced a $500 million grant to SandboxAQ for the development of new chemicals and materials needed for domestic semiconductor manufacturing in the United States, including alternatives to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). This funding is part of the research funding allocated by U.S. President Trump under the Chips for America Act.

Prior to this, the initiative had provided $150 million for investment in new chip manufacturing equipment, as well as $2 billion for the quantum computing field.
