BlockBeats News, June 4th. The core team of the Cosmos ecosystem, Cosmos Labs, has acquired the Cosmos block explorer Mintscan and established a new subsidiary, Cosmos Labs Korea, based in Seoul, to manage key infrastructure in the Cosmos ecosystem.
Cosmos Labs Co-CEO Barry Plunkett stated that discussions about the acquisition began in October last year. The scale of the transaction, the financing method, and whether it involves the Cosmos Hub token ATOM have not been disclosed. After the completion of the transaction, some Mintscan employees will join Cosmos Labs, while other Stamper business units remain unaffected.
Currently, Mintscan tracks over 80 Cosmos-based blockchains. Cosmos Labs announced that this acquisition will integrate Mintscan, Skip:Go, IBC Eureka, and Cosmos Hub development into a more unified architecture, enhancing the engineering capabilities of the Cosmos Hub.
