BlockBeats News, June 12th, According to Zcash core developer Sean Bowe's latest update, the Zcash "Ironwood" upgrade has made significant progress in the past 48 hours. The protocol development team has held two cross-organization meetings and reached a consensus on the specification and implementation roadmap.

The update indicates that the team has confirmed several technical adjustments, including disabling Orchard pool bundles in Coinbase transactions, using anchors as authentication data in the migration process to optimize hardware wallet user experience, and clarifying the handling order of ZIP documents and protocol specifications. Currently, the Ironwood circuit and ZIP 2005 integration draft are entering the review phase.

In terms of development progress, the Valar Group has deployed a testnet environment and completed key work on wallet-related feature implementation. At the same time, the team is writing the Ironwood upgrade release notes for future auditors, wallet developers, and protocol participants.

On the security audit front, multiple audit firms are independently reviewing the Orchard module, while introducing AI audit tools to conduct a comprehensive scan of the codebase. Concurrent formal verification work is also progressing, with the development team planning to unify various methodologies in the next phase to determine the final verification path for Ironwood SNARK.

Currently, multiple core teams are collaboratively advancing the upgrade process, entering the testing and auditing stages simultaneously.
