BlockBeats News, June 19th, according to Bloomberg, Meta Platforms Inc. has reached a new agreement with data center developer Crusoe to acquire artificial intelligence computing power to strengthen the infrastructure needed to support the company's ambitious AI expansion.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Meta has signed a deal to purchase computing power from Crusoe in two data centers. These facilities are located in Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri, respectively. Due to the sensitive nature of the discussions, these sources requested anonymity.
Together, these two sites will provide Meta with approximately 1.6 gigawatts of computing power. One gigawatt of electricity is roughly equivalent to powering about 750,000 U.S. households.
