BlockBeats News, June 27, according to official sources, OpenAI has released GPT-5.6, including the flagship Sol (top-notch performance for agent work), the balanced Terra (performance close to GPT-5.5 but at half the cost), and the efficient Luna (high-capacity, low-cost).

Sol achieved 88.8% on Terminal-Bench 2.1 (91.9% on the Ultra version), leading the way, and excelled in ExploitBench network security tasks with fewer tokens, all while equipped with the strongest security stack ever, passing red team tests equivalent to 700,000 A100 GPU hours.

Due to U.S. government requirements, only trusted partners of Codex and the API can currently use it, with plans to open up fully in a few weeks.
