The final reading of the US first-quarter real GDP growth rate came in at 2.1% on an annualized basis, higher than the expected 1.60% and unchanged from the previous value. The US core PCE price index for May showed a 3.4% year-on-year increase, in line with market expectations, hitting a new high since October 2023.
