BlockBeats News, June 30th - A spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Iran's current top priority is to ensure the implementation of all the provisions of the understanding memorandum. Regarding Article 10 of the memorandum, which concerns the U.S. commitment to allow Iranian oil exports, the U.S. has issued the necessary permit, and Iran is following up on the progress of the implementation. As for Article 11, which involves the release of Iran's frozen assets, the relevant execution process is also underway. This week, Iran will send a technical delegation to Qatar to discuss the implementation of the understanding memorandum, including Article 11.
The spokesperson also mentioned that Iran has not yet initiated final agreement negotiations. According to Article 13 of the understanding memorandum, the precondition for starting final agreement negotiations is the commencement and continuous implementation of Articles 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11. Furthermore, the spokesperson emphasized that Iran will not engage in any level of negotiations with the United States in the coming days. The U.S. delegation's trip to Qatar is unrelated to the Iranian technical delegation's visit. The Iranian delegation's purpose in Qatar is to follow up on the implementation of the understanding memorandum, including Article 11. (FXStreet)
