BlockBeats News, May 29th, Sei Releases Giga Upgrade Roadmap. Giga is Sei's next-generation protocol upgrade, aiming to achieve higher transaction performance through the restructuring of the execution client, state management, and consensus mechanism.

According to the roadmap, Sei will introduce several core upgrades, including: Ares Execution Client Upgrade (significantly improves performance through optimized pipelined execution, asynchronous processing, etc.); Eidos State Management Upgrade (replaces Merkle trees with flat key-value storage, separating hot state from cold archives); Autobahn Consensus (aiming for 200,000 TPS and 400ms finality, already achieving 5 Gigagas processing capacity in the internal distributed testnet); Sedna Private Memory Pool (introducing an encrypted transaction propagation mechanism); gradual transition to EVM-only architecture (deprecating Cosmos SDK and CosmWasm through SIP-3).
