BlockBeats News, May 7th, mETH Protocol officially announced that it will gradually cease the operation of its liquidity re-staking token cmETH, while the rest of the products will continue to operate as usual. The cmETH minting function was disabled on May 7, 2026. The final EigenLayer rewards distribution will be completed by mid-June 2026, and the reward claiming window will close on November 7, 2026.

mETH Protocol stated that after a comprehensive assessment of the current trajectory of the ecosystem, shutting down cmETH is the most prudent choice to refocus resources on directions that can create more enduring value for users. Existing holdings are not affected, and unstaking and bridging functionalities remain open.
