BlockBeats News, June 23, global asset management giant Franklin Templeton has officially completed the acquisition of 250 Digital and simultaneously launched the new digital asset division Franklin Crypto, marking its further expansion into the field of actively managed crypto assets.

The transaction was initially reached in April this year, with 250 Digital being a spin-off business under CoinFund. Following this integration, Franklin Crypto will operate as an independent active management platform, focusing on institutional investors such as pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.

Franklin Templeton currently manages assets worth around $1.78 trillion, and this move is seen as a significant step in integrating digital assets into traditional institutional investment portfolios.
